About Dry Eye Syndrome
Dry Eye Syndrome (or Dry Eye Disease) is a common condition that occurs often due to Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), yet most people don't even realize they have it.
Meibomian glands secrete the oil layer of your tears, which holds the tear in place or where it’s supposed to be. When the glands are clogged, not enough oil is produced for healthy tears or a stye can form.
Dry Eye Syndrome is chronic and progressive and can have a significant impact on your quality of life, affecting daily activities like driving or reading.

Our Treatments
Dry Eye Syndrome can be diagnosed during your comprehensive eye exam, with sophisticated imaging of your tear-producing glands as well as advanced testing to measure the volume and quality of your tears.
OptiLight IPL
IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatment is used to alleviate dry eye symptoms by targeting and improving the function of the meibomian glands in the eyelids, which are responsible for producing oils that help maintain a stable tear film on the eye surface; essentially, IPL helps unclog these glands and restore their ability to secrete necessary oils, leading to less dryness and irritation.

Radio Frequency
This treatment uses controlled radio frequency energy to precisely target the periorbital and eyelid regions, rejuvenating the eye area for those suffering from dry eye symptoms. The heat generated by the radiofrequency energy effectively warms the meibomian glands, unclogging them and restoring their normal function to improve tear quality and reduce dryness.

Oasis Warm Compress Mask
Warm compresses bring relief to your dry eye because of the loosening of the oils in the Meibomian glands located in and around your lids. These glands are what produce the oils (lipids) that get released with each blink and blanket the surface of your tear film.

Oasis Tears Eyedrops
The viscousness of artificial tears such as Oasis TEARS® PLUS and Oasis TEARS® lubricate the eyes to relieve the gritty dry sensations that cause irritation. Doctors often recommend preservative-free artificial tears such as these. Oasis TEARS® can be used as needed to relieve dry eye symptoms.
